Researching Communication Theory

When researching for Section 2, remember that you are looking for information on the connection between communication and culture, as well as information on what makes your type of text (novel, poem, film, song, etc.) unique.

Helpful search tips:

• Look for subject terms related to your text type
  • For example, in Communication & Mass Media Complete, the subject terms for movies are "filmstrips" and "motion pictures"
• Use encyclopedias or handbooks to find short, informative articles
  • These articles are helpful when defining terms or learning about new theories
