Oesterle Library maintains a membership with the University of Chicago libraries that allows limited access for North Central College faculty and students to use their collections.

Faculty and students who wish to visit the University of Chicago libraries must first check out an "access" or "borrower" card from staff at Oesterle Library.

• Access cards allow entry to the University of Chicago libraries and use of materials on-site.
• In addition to on-site use, borrower cards allow faculty and students to check out materials from the University of Chicago circulating collections.

Due to the nature of this membership, limited cards are available for faculty and student use, and strict guidelines are in place for their use.

Faculty and students who wish to use this service are encouraged to contact Oesterle Library staff a few days in advance of their intended trip to the University of Chicago to ensure that an appropriate card is available for their use.
