How to Find a Movie Using the Library Catalog

The best way to find movies in Oesterle Library's collections is to look them up in CardinalCat, the library's online catalog. You can access CardinalCat from the Find Books, Movies, and More

page. From there, click on the link "Library catalog (CardinalCat) Quick Search". It should look like this:

Once you're in the library catalog, enter your search terms (such as the title of a movie or the name of a director, producer, or actor). Next, look for the "Quick Limits" pull-down menu below the search box. Choose "Films/Videos" as your limit, and then run your search. By doing this, the library catalog will only return records for items like DVDs and videos. Here's what the search screen looks like:
