Ceiling Mounted Data Projection System
Complete data projection systems are available in several classrooms on the Naperville campus.  These systems are permanently mounted in the classroom, and allow the user to display computer data on a large screen without setting up equipment.

To use the ceiling mounted data projection system, follow these directions:
 

1.  Turn on computer and monitor using the appropriate power buttons.

2.    Turn on the data projector's remote control unit by sliding the on/off switch located on the side of the           remote.

3.    Make sure the remote is set to Adj, not mouse.  Turn on the data projector using the remote
             control's on button.  Point the remote at the projector or screen.


 
 

      The data projector is set to fit the screen and is focused, no further adjustment should be necessary.

*In the unlikely event the projected image is interrupted by horizontal lines of static, the refresh rate on the computer must be reset.  Click here for instructions on setting the refresh rate.

Shut down procedures

A.  Exit all computer programs and follow the normal Windows 95 shut down process.

B.  Using the data projector remote control, press the off switch.

C.  Turn off computer and monitor using the appropriate power switches.
 

The data projector fan will operate until the lamp cools.
Please make sure the projector lamp is off before leaving the classroom.
