New Undergraduate Archives Publication

by Shannon McGregor

Oesterle Library announces the latest addition to the Undergraduate Archives Publication series: A Changing College: The Impact of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad on North Central College, by Luke A. Kerber '09.

In order to be considered for publication in this series, manuscripts must be at least 15 pages in length and make use of archival materials. An editorial board, including archivist Kim Butler and Director of Library Services Carolyn Sheehy, approves the manuscripts, which are published annually both in booklet and online formats. Several permanent copies of the publication are maintained in the Archives collection.

Kerber's monograph joins three previous Archives publications: North Central College and the Civil Rights Movement, Football at Military Training Centers During World War II, and The Temperance Movement in Naperville in the 19th Century. The series is intended as a showcase for the high-quality research and writing of North Central College undergraduate students.

A Changing College: The Impact of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad on North Central College can be accessed online on the Archives website.
