Administrative History:
The Alumni Association of North Central College organized on June 9, 1869 and elected H. H. Rassweiler as its first president. The group consisted of college alumni which sought to maintain relationships among alumni and with the College. The Alumni Association met annually on North Central’s campus to discuss campus issues and future alumni events. State chapters of the Alumni Association included alumni from North Central, which met in the state where they lived and helped recruit students from that state to attend North Central.

Description:
This series includes meeting minutes, executive committee minutes, Board of Director minutes, and membership lists of the Alumni Association of North Central College as well as the Minnesota chapter of the Alumni Association. Meeting minutes include revisions of the constitution, roll call of meetings, new officer elections, and reports from officers and committee members. Minutes discuss campus issues such as building needs, increased endowments needed, and enrollment. Additionally, members discussed alumni gatherings and celebrations. In the 1901-1923 meeting minute book, each meeting includes a letter from the secretary informing members of College happenings, new members to the organization, and upcoming alumni events. The meeting minutes of the Minnesota chapter are similar and include letters from President Rall concerning North Central’s enrollment and campus projects. The Register of Alumni includes a list of College Alumni from 1866 through 1912 and guests at Homecoming from 1935 through 1972.

Processing Note:
The base collection of the College Archives had no inherent order. The Archives created this series out of the base collection in 1999.
